For these next few posts, they will merely be a hopeful glimpse into my future, and my ideal plans considering my living spaces and location, which bring me to what we learned in Interior Design; the circle of the housing life cycle, where we discussed where different age groups might be dwelling. In each place you live however, there needs to be certain physical and psychological attributes in order for one to truly feel at home. These things are love & belonging, privacy, identity, creativity, fun & comfort, safety, storage, shelter, sleep, and a place for food preparation. Housing choices are actually rather important to the life cycle, and can say a lot about a persons life at the time, such as a rich person might be living in a mansion, or a college student living in a dorm or affordable apartment.
The room you see above represents my ideal apartment at the age of 22, where I will be attending college in Texas, and interning at a voice acting company, and hopefully sharing the apartment with a partner (get my pun?) or living near them. I really only desire a small 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, but one that may be 2 levels, and somewhat modern. If I do not have anyone living with me, the second bedroom will be used for a gaming/study room with my computers and gaming systems, as well as my books. As far as a college student goes, I hope to have one as similar as possible to this, but I know it may not be as extravagant as the one above solely based on the high cost.
